Wayfinder Guides LLC is a labor of love — rooted in friendship, cultural pride, and a shared mission to uplift.

We’re Crystal and Niki, two best friends from the Mississippi Delta who met in college and built a bond that’s lasted through every chapter of life. Though we now live in different states — Crystal in Texas, Niki in California — our connection remains strong, and so does our purpose.

Wayfinder was born from late-night calls, deep conversations, and hands-on testing — all driven by one question: What do our communities need to thrive? Our first guide is the result of that process: a thoughtfully crafted resource curated with a focus on African American-owned businesses, alongside select continental African and diaspora-owned listings that align with our mission.

We’re building slowly and intentionally — one guide at a time — to avoid overwhelm and stay rooted in care. This is just the beginning. Our long-term vision is to grow sustainably and reinvest profits into industries where Black people are underrepresented, underserved, or missing entirely. Whether it’s beauty, tech, manufacturing, publishing, grocery, or wellness, we believe in creating pathways for visibility, ownership, and impact.
